About Me.

Hi, I'm Sarah Cannata, creator of Storytelling for the Soul. I'm not a doctor, therapist or any other healthcare provider. I'm someone with lived experience who has used writing to navigate my way out of several sticky situations in life. Through my signature program, Storytelling for the Soul, I create a space where all parts of you are welcome (even the parts you pretend aren't there). My approach combines writing and embodied processing techniques that allow you to explore why you feel lost or stuck in life and what is holding you back from living the life of your dreams.

I have a Bachelor of Journalism and have worked in Communications since 2009. I'm a certified Embodied Processing Practitioner through the Centre for Healing. I also have a Trauma-Informed Coaching Certificate and am a certified Mental Health First Aider through Mental Health First Aid Australia. In addition to publishing a picture book, Willow Willpower, I've been published in The Huffington Post, Elephant Journal, Mamamia, The Age, Women's Agenda, SBS Online and more.

Qualifications/Certifications: Embodied Processing Practitioner; Bachelor of Journalism; Mental Health First Aider

I am a member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (Embodied Processing modality only).

Embodied Processing is a body-based approach to working with trauma created by trauma therapists Ryan Hassan and Matt Nettleton.
