Monthly Guided Journal Prompts for Self Care

A Safe Space to Come Home to Yourself

You’ve spent years investing in and showing up for others. Now it's your turn. This is about so much more than journaling. It's about saying yes to trauma-informed guidance that feels safe, compassionate, and meets you where you are at.

It's time to slow down, create space for listening to yourself and remembering who you are beneath the noise. Before the world told you who it needs you to be. Best of all, try it risk-free thanks to my 7-day free trial for new subscribers. As part of your subscription, you get email access to me.

New for 2026: WhatsApp Access to Me

If you are anything like me, you are craving connection in a world that increasingly feels chaotic, noisy and overwhelming. I love meaningful conversations with like-minded people, so in 2026, I'll be opening up WhatsApp chat access to me. I'm happy to answer questions about journaling, writing or to just lend an ear if needed. I'll aim to get back to people within 24-48 hours depending on demand.

The Everyday Struggles Journaling Can Help You With*

  • Quieting excessive overthinking and anxiety
  • Releasing stress before it turns into burnout
  • Gaining a better understanding about why you binge
  • Breaking free from repetitive thoughts keeping you stuck
  • Gaining clarity during times of transition, like midlife
  • Grieving the dream life you never lived

*This is by no means a definitive list. It's not about 'fixing' anything. You don’t have to do it all. You just need a safe place to begin. And that’s what these prompts offer. The monthly themes are listed below.

What You Receive Monthly

  • fresh set of journal prompts, crafted with care, to help you pause and reconnect

AMELIA

Using prompts is new to me and it's opened up a whole new way to write from my own experiences and starting to include the body in the process... One major shift for me was that I wasn't expecting the prompts and writing to bypass my mind so much and be so revealing, reaching a depth I wasn't expecting. I love that I have discovered this as I perceived writing as a purely conscious cognitive process. I am finding more and more love for writing.

This Is for You If You're...

  • Tired of feeling disconnected from everything and everyone
  • Looking to find inner peace
  • Ready to replace guilt with self-compassion
  • Craving meaning, connection, and gentle accountability

Join today and get immediate access to this month’s prompts and the entire 2025 library

About Me

Hi, I’m Sarah, the creator of Storytelling for the Soul. I’m not a doctor or therapist. I’m someone who’s walked this path personally, using journaling and body-based practices to reconnect with myself and gently shift the way I live and feel.

My work is rooted in lived experience, deep exploration, and a commitment to safe, trauma-informed support. I create a nurturing space where you feel seen, heard, and held.

Through writing, embodied processing, mindfulness and somatic techniques, I support women in midlife to gently explore what may be holding them back, so they can reconnect with themselves and begin creating a life that feels calm, meaningful and true to them.

What It's Like to Work with Me

carmine

In less than a year, the value of Sarah's journaling and the learning of embodied processing has not only lifted me from full-body pain but has also cleared me from multiple mental struggles. Following Sarah's guided writing prompts and supportive encouragement, infused with embodied processing, is a must for compassionate, effective self-care. What a great combination.

Whilst I already love writing, having time with Sarah has opened my eyes to how important the body/soul connection really is. Her gentle and quiet way of guiding me through her process made it feel easier for me to let go and dive into what I needed to feel and hear. I walked away feeling lighter and clearer on where I might need to do more work, and what my body really wants me to know. Thanks Sarah for a wonderful session!

More people need to learn more about your work; how you teach expressive writing from a trauma-informed perspective makes all the difference - definitely don't want to leave people in a triggered state when doing expressive writing; which differentiates you from other teachers of expressive writing.
